1949-2014

Harold W. Youmans, 65, died unexpectedly Wednesday, June 18, 2014, in his residence in Stockdale, Texas. A resident of Stockdale for three years, he was born March 11, 1949, in Monterey, N.Y. He moved to San Antonio in 1984, after serving in the U.S. Army for eight years.

Harold was an avid hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed watching the Stockdale and San Antonio rodeos with Dottie Breezee. He spent a majority of his life driving over-the-road tractor-trailers and in recent years was employed as a bus driver for the Floresville Independent School District, having just recently retired. Harold will be dearly missed by all that knew him, his family said.

He was preceded in death by his father, William C. Youmans; and his mother, Leola A. Youmans-Tietje.

Harold is survived by his son, Michael C. Youmans; his sister, Deborah Youmans-Marshall; his brothers, Ronald Youmans and Roger Youmans and wife Wendy; and his ex-wife, Dorothy “Dottie” Breezee, who remained his very supportive friend. He is also survived by nieces Stacey Youmans and Jessica Kitchen; nephews Justin Youmans, Brandon Youmans, Kelvin Youmans, and John Marshall; and several cousins, including two of his favorites, Walt and Philip Strawser, who he enjoyed hunting with.

Inurnment will be held at a later date in Corning, N.Y.
