SAN ANTONIO -- Deputies from the Bexar County Sheriff's Office continue their investigation following the discovery June 30 of a decomposing body in a cornfield near the intersection U.S 181 and Old Corpus Christi Road.

According to sheriff's office spokesman Rosanne Hughes, the victim has been positively identified as 19-year-old Steven Rendon. The case is being investigated as a homicide.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Bexar County Sheriff's Office at 210-335-6000, or San Antonio Crime Stoppers at 210-224-STOP (7867).
