Offer condolences


Richard Thayer, 58, of Floresville, Texas, passed away Thursday, June 12, 2014, in Floresville. He was born Dec. 15, 1955, in Galveston to Edison and LaVerne (Sachtleben) Thayer.

Richard was preceded in death by his mother, LaVerne (Sachtleben) Thayer; and his brother, Jimmy Thayer.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Lynn (Hohmann) Thayer; father Edison Thayer; sons Colton Roy and Clayton Dean Thayer; daughters Victoria (Thayer) Garrett and husband Levi and Cortney Thayer; sisters Marilyn Basham, Tracy Mangione and husband John, and Nancy Thayer; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held Saturday, June 14, from 9-11 a.m. in Cowboy Fellowship in Pleasanton.

A funeral service was held on Saturday at 11 a.m. in Cowboy Fellowship.

Interment followed in the Mission Burial Park South Cemetery in San Antonio.

Memorial contributions may be made to Cowboy Fellowship, P.O. Box 68, Pleasanton, TX 78064.
