Q: You’re on “Witches of East End,” “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Mistresses.” How are you juggling three shows?

A: I try to be the most professional and congenial actor I can be. If they like you, they will try to work with you more than if you are an a**. The good part is I have been blessed. I was shooting “Witches of East End” and that overlapped with “Grey’s” and they made that work, and I did (the play) “12 Angry Men.” I was juror No. 8, the Henry Fonda role. The shows don’t go year-round and everyone is ready to work. And to be honest each one is not called “The Jason George Show.” They are ensemble shows. If you are Monk on “Monk,” Tony Shalhoub lived and breathed that every day. Even on the days you work, you are not working every day. There were days in the last month where I was at “Mistresses” in the morning and “Grey’s” in the afternoon. With Witches, it’s a little different because they are in Vancouver (British Columbia).

Q: Do you ever get confused, playing three characters?

A: Once the schedule gets there it is just about the stories. It makes sense. It is in your head, and you are able to memorize much faster. When it is not written well it becomes calculus and good writing makes it easier. I know these characters at this point. It’s like you know your favorite suits -- that you like to put on -- now how do I want to accessorize today?
