Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court No. 2649 of St. Ann’s Parish in La Vernia hosted the installation of District 13 officers for 2014-15. The installation ceremony was conducted by District Deputy Lydia Martinez in Goertz Hall on June 14.

The ceremony began with a procession, followed by a prayer service led by Mary M. Mainz, past Regent of Court St. Ann Mother of Mary, which included Scripture readings, songs, and prayers with responses by the group.

After the officers’ pledges and candle-lighting ceremony, a reception was hosted by La Vernia Court members. Reports of their successful activities and projects were given by the five outgoing regents.

Court officers attending were from Court No. 917 of Falls City, Court No. 1178 of Poth, Court No. 2497 of Floresville, Court No. 2649 of La Vernia, and Court No. 2673 of Elmendorf. Officers of these respective courts are regents Karissa Jarzombek, Dawn Dylla, Cheryl Martinez, Donna Jackson, and Teresa De Los Santos. Vice regents are Rosalie Titzman, Denise Knight, Jennifer Trevino, Donna Schweers, and Maggie Aguilera; recording secretaries are Dianne Dziuk, Ruth Vontur, Shirley Toscano, Julie Ernst, and Andrea Aguilera; treasurers are Rose Lee Moczygemba, Arlene Kroll, Veronica Lopez, Doris Cormier, and Emma M. Saenz; and financial secretaries are Helen Brysch, Dorothy Wiatrek, Naomi Trevino, Bettie Trainer, and Loretta Marroquin.
