KIRBY -- River City Wrestling has an exciting and fun-filled event planned for Saturday, July 12, at Turner Club in Kirby.

In celebration of our great nation, RCW is donating a portion of the event’s proceeds to the U.S. Army’s Warrior and Family Support Center at Brooke Army Medical Center. In addition, RCW is giving tickets to the Warrior and Family Support Center so they can attend this event.

Front row tickets are $15, and general admission seats are $12. Tickets are available at the doors, when they open at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are also available online at,,, or Tickets purchased at the door must be with cash or credit.

In the main event, current RCW Angels champ Nard will team with RCW Champion “Super Shot” Joey Spector to face Chubbs and the RCW icon “Super-Mex” Hernandez. Nard and Chubbs are both radio personalities from “The Billy Madison Show” heard Monday through Friday mornings on KISS -- 99.5 FM.

This rivalry between Nard and Hernandez began last year when Hernandez put Nard through a table on two separate occasions, including once during “The Billy Madison Show”! The rivalry was renewed at the most recent RCW event when Nard, acting as a special guest referee, cost Hernandez his championship rematch against Spector. Spector rewarded Nard’s loyalty by awarding him with the RCW Angels Championship, the main title for RCW’s women’s division. After Nard and Spector began insulting Chubbs on “The Billy Madison Show,” Chubbs agreed to partner with Hernandez for this match! This match also carries a stipulation: If the champions win, then they retain their titles. However, if one of the champions gets pinned or taps out, then he will lose his title!

In addition, two of the top women wrestlers in the world will compete for the Phoenix Championship. Champion Alissa Flash, ranked by Pro Wrestling Illustrated magazine as the best woman wrestler in the world for 2013, will face Chik Tormenta -- a force from the Mexico wrestling scene.

Located at 5555 Duffek Drive in Kirby, Turner Club is located just off of Ackerman Road, south of Benz-Engleman Road, and north of I-10. The doors open at 7:30 p.m., and the event begins at 8 p.m.
