Stockdale FFA member Matthew Hartman will represent the Guadalupe Valley District at the Texas FFA state talent show competition set for Thursday, July 17, in Fort Worth.

The talent show competition starts out at the local level, with each chapter selecting an individual or a group to participate at the district level. Matthew won the district competition and advanced to the Area VII competition, which was held at James Madison High School this past May. The competition was very tough, as Area VII is known throughout the state as one of the most competitive and awarded areas in all competitions, said Stockdale FFA advisor Josh Heimann.

“Matthew was able to win the Area competition advancing him to the state competition where he will be one of 10 students or groups in the entire state to advance to this level,” Heimann said.

Matthew will be singing in front of more than 10,000 students, advisors, and guests in the Fort Worth Convention Center at the Texas FFA State Convention.

Best of luck, Matthew.
