Community summit July 24-26
Attend the free South Texas Community Summit: Keeping Communities Ahead of the Curve July 24-26, at the Texas State Capitol at 1100 Congress Ave. in Austin. Thursday’s event will be held from noon to 6:30 p.m., 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.
Presented by Texas State Rep. Ryan Guillen, the summit will offer an opportunity for local community members and leaders to hear about important issues and state resources, to include education, Medicaid, history, public housing, the Affordable Care Act, the Eagle Ford shale, open government, road funding, targeting the border, and more.
