David Lane O’Neal Sr., 64, of Nixon, Texas, died Wednesday, July 9, 2014, in Seguin. He was born Jan. 4, 1950, in Leesville, to George Nicklos “Nick” and Dorothy Davis O’Neal.

David is survived by his wife, Donna West O’Neal; children David L. “Kyle” O’Neal Jr. and wife Betty, Denay Simpson and husband Steve, and Matthew Abrameit; grandchildren Justin O’Neal, Andrew Simpson, and Cotter Simpson; sister Genelda Brooks; numerous nieces and nephews; and other loving family and friends.

Visitation was held Saturday, July 12, at 10 a.m. in the Nixon Cemetery in Nixon.

A graveside funeral service was held on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the cemetery, officiated by the Rev. Jack Shuford and the Rev. Terry Davis.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
