ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. The Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church will celebrate a special Mass honoring Jubilarians on Sunday, Oct. 26, at 11:30 a.m. in the church at 14011 F.M. 1346 in St. Hedwig.

Jubilarians who are observing their 25th, 40th, 45th, and 50th anniversaries, including members of religious orders, are invited to attend. Interested persons need to apply no later than Monday, Sept. 8.

Members of the St. John Paul II Committee and PAPA invite grandchildren of confirmation age to attend with their grandparents to learn more about the gift of sacramental marriage. After the Mass, a special Papal Blessing will be presented to all honorees in the St. John Paul II Center. The celebration will include a reception and video presentation.
