American Stewards of Liberty, Capital Farm Credit, and Texas Sheep and Goat Raisers’ Auxiliary are holding a Congressional Letter Writing Contest to encourage young people to take an interest in writing members of Congress. The topic will involve private property rights. Scholarships will range from $500-$1,000.

The contest is open to students who are junior or seniors in high school in the fall of 2014, or plan to enroll in any college or university in the 2015 school year. Current college students are eligible to enter and must have graduated from a Texas high school. Home-school students are also welcome. This contest is for Texas residents only.

All entries must be postmarked by Tuesday, Nov. 4.
