The competitors of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series will put on a rare Wednesday night show and an even rarer performance on dirt this week with the running of the Mudsummer Classic at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio. Aside from the facts that this week’s racing falls on a Wednesday and the event will be held on dirt, the format will be different, at least when it comes to qualifying. There will be heat races to set the starting lineup for the main event, as opposed to two or three rounds of knock-out qualifying.

Here’s a look at the Eldora schedule (courtesy of NASCAR.com):

All times ET

10-11 a.m. -- practice (FOX Sports 1)
11:30 a.m. -- 1 p.m. -- final practice (FOX Sports 1)
5:10 p.m. -- qualifyng (FOX Sports 1)
7 p.m. -- first 10-lap qualifying race (FOX Sports 1)

WEATHER (courtesy of weather.com)

Unfortunately, there is a chance rain in the forecast for Eldora on Wednesday, but it is less than 50 percent. The daytime forecast predicts a 40 percent chance of rain, with scattered thunderstorms in the area. Fortunately, though, the chance of rain decreases later, as the scheduled race time approaches, with the nighttime chance of rain dropping to 20 percent.

In regards to temperature, the daytime high is expected to reach 79 degrees, with an overnight low of 57 degress expected.
