The family of a local teen knows it was divine intervention that brought her back to them unharmed.

Adrianna Kathleen “Anna” Ximenez went missing July 16 after she ran away from her home near the corner of Fourth and Standish streets in Floresville. Her parents, Stephanie and Arthur Ximenez, recall last seeing the 16-year-old at 10:30 p.m. But less than three hours later, Arthur became concerned.

“My husband had a bad feeling,” Stephanie said. “He started checking the house and he realized she was gone.”

Stephanie believes it truly was the hand of God working from that point on, as she said everything worked in the family’s favor in their quest to be reunited with Adrianna. The Wilson County News and all four major San Antonio TV stations joined the Floresville Police Department, the Heidi Search Center, and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in the combined effort to locate Adrianna.

Also joining in the search were U.S. Air Force officials, because Adrianna was believed to have run away to join a 19-year-old male currently serving in that branch of the military. Stephanie said Air Force officials continue their investigation into his involvement in Adrianna’s disappearance.

At 2:30 a.m. July 19, Stephanie received a telephone call from Adrianna, indicating that she had been dropped off at a hospital in Denison near the Texas-Oklahoma border.

“I was shaking from head to toe; I was crying,” Stephanie said. “To hear her voice and know that she was OK was a feeling that is truly indescribable.”

Detective Jesse Gutierrez of the Floresville Police Department confirmed July 19 that Adrianna had been located and that she was reunited with her family.

Grouch, I meant to say that "God's plan and God's will are not necessarily the same". Sorry for leaving out the word 'not'.

Grouch, Retireinlavernia is right. This is hardly the forum to debate God's plan for the human race. Besides, you don't even know the difference between God's plan and God's will. they are necessarily the same thing. ... More ›
