The Carroll Street Coffee Bar & Café is open for business in Poth. The café offers a wide variety of food options, but emphasizes home-cooked comfort food and great-tasting eats and treats.

For the lunch crowd, owner-manager Leslie McPherson offers sandwiches, pizza, a salad bar, and daily meal specials.

Their specialty is coffee and espressos. McPherson said they offer “the best coffee, roasted in Texas with coffee beans from all over the world!”

To combat the Texas heat, the café offers smoothies, milkshakes, and ice cream.

“Our goal is to provide the best-tasting high-quality food, and superior customer service,” McPherson said. “We use the freshest ingredients available -- fresh produce from local farmers.”

According to their website, the café “consists more of a modern industrial feel, with lots of open space.” The attire for Carroll Street Coffee Bar is casual, but McPherson and her staff also offer fine dining.

McPherson grew up in western New York and has a Bachelor of Arts degree in environmental studies from Alfred University. A professional business consultant for 20 years, McPherson left that job to pursue her dream of owning her own café/business.

She is joined by her husband, Wil, and their children, Ahnika and Billy.

The café is located at 1012 Carroll St. in Poth. For more information, call 830-484-2345.
