1947-2014

Herbert “Travis” Burnham, 66, of La Vernia, Texas, passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2014, with his family by his side. He was born on Oct. 4, 1947, to Wilford and Dorthy Burnham in Mammoth Springs, Ark.

He graduated from Thayer High School and earned a master’s degree from Arkansas State University. He was a member of the U.S. Army Special Forces.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and grandparents Arnold and Thelma Majors.

Herbert is survived by his wife of 46 years, Linda Burnham of La Vernia; son Andy Burnham and wife Beth of Parkland, Fla., and their children Jack and Reese; daughter Heidi Sims and husband Todd of La Vernia, and their children Colby, Tanner, and Grayson.
