Offer condolences


Fabian Lambert Jarzombek Sr., a lifelong resident of Kosciusko, Texas, entered eternal rest Monday evening, July 21, 2014, in his residence, at the age of 75 years, 1 month, and 17 days. Fabian was born June 4, 1939, in Kosciusko, the son of Konstant and Anastazia Olenick Jarzombek.

After his schooling in Kosciusko and Poth, Fabian worked as a truck driver with TxDOT for many faithful years, and was a farmer and a rancher. Fabian married Carol Culver on Nov. 22, 1969, in St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church in Dallas. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.

Fabian was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Isodore Jarzombek and Henry Paul Jarzombek; and his sisters, Mary Pawelek, Celie Reid, Theresa Morawietz, Emilia Wiatrek, and Elizabeth Wiatrek.

He is survived by his beloved wife of more than 44 years, Carol Jarzombek of Kosciusko; his children, Fabian Lambert Jarzombek Jr. and wife Kimberly of Floresville, Mark Joseph Jarzombek and wife Tricia of Kosciusko, and Julia Beth Morris and husband Joshua of Kosciusko; his grandchildren, Konstant Jarzombek, Maegann Jarzombek, Peyton Jarzombek, Parker Jarzombek, Madison Molina, Katelyn Molina, Dakota Molina, and Brooklyn Morris; his brothers, Clement Jarzombek and wife Lynette of Kosciusko and Steve Jarzombek and wife Judy of Stockdale; his sisters-in-law, Alice Jarzombek of Poth, Dorothy Jarzombek of Kosciusko, and Lettie Pavin and husband Mark of Newport Beach, Calif.; and brother-in-law Julius Dan Hada and wife Mary of Fort Worth.

Visitation was held on Thursday, July 24, at 5 p.m. with a recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. in St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Kosciusko.

A funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday at 10 a.m. in the church, officiated by the Rev. Stan Oleksy.

Interment followed in St. Ann’s Cemetery in Kosciusko.

Serving as pallbearers were Kenneth Jarzombek, Martin Jarzombek, Derrick Jarzombek, Paul Jarzombek, Bryan Jarzombek, Joshua Morris, Joe Wiatrek, and Chris Sekula.
