Members of the East Central FFA Chapter took time to have fun while attending the 86th annual Texas FFA State Convention held July 14-18 in Fort Worth.

To start the week, members attended a statewide community-service project. This year’s event assisted the Arlington Missions.

Seven members competed in the first FFA 5K Run/Walk through the historic Fort Worth Stockyards. Finishing first in her age group and second place overall was Julie Kosub. FFA advisor Ray Pieniazek also took home honors in his age category by placing third.
