The staff and students of Floresville High School invite all incoming freshmen to the Link Crew Freshman Orientation on Wednesday, Aug. 13, from 8 a.m. to noon in the high school North Campus gymnasium. Link Crew is a nationally known program that “links” successful juniors and seniors with groups of freshmen to assist with the transition from middle school to high school.

Incoming freshmen that attend will be assigned a leader who will work with them at orientation and be available throughout the school year for guidance and support. Additionally, leaders will plan social and academic meetings with their freshmen throughout the school year.

Freshmen will also be given an opportunity to pick up their schedules and take a tour of the campus. Students should dress comfortably with gym-appropriate shoes. A freshman class sponsor will be available for students to pay their class dues of $25 (dues increase to $35 after Christmas). Parents are not required to attend.

For more information, call Leann Drozd at 830-393-5370.
