Update: Motorcycle crash kills Stockdale man

STOCKDALE -- A 20-year-old Stockdale man is dead after a midday motorcycle crash Aug. 1 at the intersection of F.M. 1107 and C.R. 427 east of here. Caleb Lee Sanchez was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Trooper Anthony Flores, a spokesman for the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Also involved in the crash were a second motorcycle and a 1971 Jeep truck. The second motorcyclist was transported to Connally Memorial Medical Center in Floresville for treatment for his injuries. The truck driver was uninjured.

Flores said the crash remained under investigation.

Such a shame, Federal law allows all motorcycles to have modulating headlights(which allows other motorist to see and notice motorcycles)maybe this would not have happen. Just another example of the first thing learned in crossing ... More ›

Such a sad news story. My thoughts and prayers to the family members and friends of Mr. Sanchez. I'll also be praying for the second motorcyclist to be okay.

What a tragic way to start off the month! My thoughts and prayers go out to Leroy and Diana Barrera Sanchez and to the families of the others involved in the deadly crash.
