(New photo posted at 4:11 pm 8/3/14) Officers from the Floresville Police Department are searching for two men involved in an Aug. 3 armed robbery of the One Stop convenience store at the Exxon gas station near the intersection of U.S. 181 and Hospital Boulevard (S.H. 97 West) in Floresville.

According to Detective George Ortiz of the Floresville Police Department, a man brandishing an automatic handgun entered the store at approximately 11 a.m. and demanded cash. He fled the scene in a white Chevrolet Blazer, accompanied by a second, unidentified man. A witness pursued the pair to Plum and First streets in Floresville, before the driver fled on foot. Ortiz said the passenger jumped out of the Blazer, pointed a weapon in the face of his pursuer and told the man, “Don’t be a hero!” before also fleeing the area.

The suspects were last seen in the vicinity of Canta Rana Park on Goliad Road in Floresville. While a description of the passenger is unknown, the driver is described as a Hispanic male standing 5 feet, 9 inches tall, with a slender build. He was wearing an orange hoodie, a black bandana over his face, and camouflage pants.

Anyone with information can provide it anonymously to Crime Stoppers of Wilson County at 830-393-INFO (4636) or http://bit.ly/NDrIut, for a possible reward.

This would be a good time to point out the positive aspects of a CHL and a 9mm. But that would just bring out all the Anti-Gun nuts. So I'll not say anything about that. But just not ever point a gun at me. Larry John
