ELMENDORF -- Deputies from the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office continue their investigation into an all-terrain vehicle accident at approximately 4:45 a.m. Aug. 5 that claimed the life of a woman near the Alamo Junction Rail Park on Old Corpus Christi Road here.
According to sheriff’s office spokesman Rosanne Hughes, a woman in her early 20s was transported from the scene to the San Antonio Military Medical Center where she was pronounced dead. As of noon, the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office was withholding her identity, pending notification of next of kin.
Hughes said the victim was a passenger on the ATV, which apparently rolled on top of her.
