Caleb “KK” Sanchez, 20, passed away Friday, Aug. 1, 2014, in Stockdale, Texas. Caleb was born on Oct. 10, 1993, in San Antonio to Leroy and Diana (Barrera) Sanchez.

“KK, the moment you came into this world, we knew you were very special. You made our dreams come true. Although God gave you to us for such a short time, we were blessed by you. Only a few fit the special mold that you were made of. You had the ability to give with all your heart. You were outgoing and others loved to be around you. God made you gentle, faithful, loving, caring, kind, tenderhearted, considerate, forgiving, selfless, and generous. You were such a joy to us and to those around us. We loved all your friends and could see the special bond that all of you shared. For now, we will struggle to live without you, our hearts are broken, our pain great; however, we take comfort in knowing that you are smiling down at us from paradise. You have no more aches, no more pains, no more sorrows, and no more trials. See you soon. We love you forever!” said his family.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Ricardo Barrera.

KK is survived by his parents; brother Nathen Sanchez and wife Terrah; maternal grandmother Lupe Barrera; paternal grandmother Toni Sanchez; paternal grandfather August Sanchez; nieces Kaylee, Julianna, and Nikki Sanchez; aunts Esther Forster, Rachel Quintanilla and husband Jerry, Maryann Lopez and husband Victor, Betty Sanchez, Yolanda Harless and husband David, Rosie Jimenez and husband Paul, and Lynda Sanchez and husband Xavier; uncles George Barrera and wife Renee, Roger Sanchez, and Frank Sanchez; numerous cousins; and other loving family.

Visitation was held on Sunday, Aug. 3, from 5-8 p.m. with a prayer service at 6 p.m. in the Stockdale Church of Christ in Stockdale.

A funeral service was held on Monday at 2 p.m. in the church, officiated by George Barrera.

Interment followed in the Stockdale Cemetery in Stockdale.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Caleb “KK” Sanchez Scholarship Fund, c/o the Sanchez Family.
