Nonprofit organizations invited to THC workshops
The Friends of the Texas Historical Commission will hold a “Development 101: Understanding How to Secure Financial Resources for Your Nonprofit” seminar series on Tuesday, Aug. 19, and a grant-writing workshop on Wednesday, Aug. 20.
The workshops, designed for small organizations with limited staff, such as historic preservation organizations, small museums, county historical commissions, and other nonprofit organizations, will help attendees understand where to find donors and foundations, how to build relationships with them, and how to write a grant.
Both workshops will be held in the Robert Johnson Conference Center at 1501 N. Congress in Austin from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Registration deadline is Tuesday, Aug. 12.
