Rebecca Jordan of Floresville shows off the medals she won while competing in the USA Junior Nationals. Rebecca’s volleyball team finished first overall, and she was selected to the tournament All-American Team.

Floresville High School senior Rebecca Jordan recently participated in the USA Junior National Championships Volleyball Sports Festival. The festival was held in Columbus, Ohio, July 15--18.

High school players from around the country were invited to regional tryouts to compete for a position at the Junior Nationals. Rebecca was selected and placed on a team with all Texas players. Her teammates were Cayla Otwell and Desiree Villanueva of Poteet, Andrea Garcia of Los Fresnos, Maria Cardenas of Brownsville, Morgan Currie of Leander, Desiree Marmolejo of Edinburg, Victoria Hull of Portland, Danelle Baughman of San Angelo, and Christina Francis of Savoy. Quiona Boffman of Central State University in Ohio was the head coach.

Rebecca’s team finished first in the tournament, and she was selected to the tournament All-American Team.
