Strangerfest 2014 to benefit county’s youth foundation
Celebrate the third annual Strangerfest 2014, the county’s largest music festival, Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 23-24, at the Kicaster Country Store located at 2239 F.M. 3432 in Adkins. Doors open at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
Plates of chopped barbecue brisket sandwiches and chips will be sold for $8. Additional food will also be sold. Activities will include a barbecue cook-off, a variety of vendors, activities for kids, a silent auction, and live entertainment featuring the “Johnny Kiser Band,” the “Rex Griffith Band,” “The Southern Strangers,” and more.
Suggested donations of $5 per adult will be accepted at the gate with all proceeds to benefit the Greater Wilson County Youth Foundation.
