BOERNE -- The Eagle Ford Invitational Clay Shoot is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 16, at the Joshua Creek Ranch in Boerne. Check-in begins at 8 a.m.

The event will consist of a sporting clays course with 12 stations of fire, offering shooters a look at 100 targets. The entry fee is $125 per shooter, and includes a lunch to follow the shoot. Each shooter needs to take ear and eye protection, as well as his or her own shells. No shot larger than 7-1/2 will be permitted.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Fisher House -- a home-away-from-home for families of seriously ill or injured service members.

For more information, call Joe Manak at 210-288-9411.
