Cycle Ranch hosts Main Event finale

FLORESVILLE -- Cycle Ranch MX Park is hosting the Main Event Motocross Series finale Saturday, Aug. 16.

The Main Event series is the biggest night race in Texas, and has continued to gain popularity with each round. The last of five rounds is being held at Cycle Ranch, and with 30 different race classes available, riders of every age and experience level can participate. In addition to trophies for the top five riders in each class, there is also $20,000 up for grabs in prizes and contingencies.

For those who don’t ride, there is still plenty of fun to be had at Cycle Ranch. There will be several bands performing throughout the day, and a number of local vendors and businesses will bring their products to Cycle Ranch. The MotoLicious Café will be open, offering everything from burgers and nachos to organic salads and fruit cups. Beer is also available for sale.

The gates open at 9 a.m., and the live music begins at 12 noon. The racing action starts at 5:30 p.m. There will also be a buy one -- get half off entry fee for “locals” who attend the festivities. Those in attendance will be entered in a free giveaway to be announced prior to the races.
