FLORESVILLE -- The Falls City High School cheerleading squad held its 13th annual golf tournament Aug. 2 at River Bend Golf Club at Floresville.

The event had another great turnout, as 110 golfers played a round. Ron Pilgrim and Trent Stein won the two-man scramble, while Ken Brown and Chris Sixto finished second. Steve Dedman and Rick Bright rounded out the top three. D. Stietz and M. Stietz finished fourth, and Aaron Pape and Scott Tackitt finished fifth.

Pam Pilgrim, Ken Brown, and Darryl Dziuk won the closest to the pin prizes, and Aaron Bengoechea had the longest drive of the day.

The annual golf tournament helps fund uniforms, camps, and miscellaneous expenses the cheerleaders encounter throughout the year.
