Stockdale Elementary School is celebrating the “Superpower” inside each of our students this year! We will learn about our theme, “There’s a HERO in all of us,” throughout the year by studying everyday heroes such as policemen, doctors, teachers, and soldiers.

Then, the students will be motivated to be their best by superheroes like Superman, Batman, and Spider-Man! We are proud to announce our “Meet the Teacher Night” on Thursday, Aug. 21, from 6-7:30 p.m. at the elementary campus located at 800 S. Sixth St. in Stockdale.

Parents, feel free to come and go as you please. While you are here, you are welcome to drop off your child’s school supplies, meet your child’s teacher, and complete the registration paperwork.

Head Start program

Stockdale Elementary is also accepting applications for the Head Start program, which will be incorporated onto the school campus. Please take original birth certificate, Social Security card, immunization record, parent identification, and proof of residency. Students will not be able to start school without up-to-date shots. This will be a full-day program, just like our regular school day, and enrolled students will be eligible for transportation. It was a huge success last year!

The school supply lists are posted at

For more information, contact Principal Lee Dockery at 830-996-1612.
