ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. Compensation is at a rate of $200 per week plus $100 per completed and submitted crisis assessment, and mileage. If interested call Camino Real Community Services, 210-357-0359.

1958-2014

Ramigio “Ram” Garza passed away on Monday, Aug. 4, 2014, in Floresville at the age of 56 years, 6 months, and 4 days. He was born on Jan. 30, 1958, in Weinert, Texas, to Micaela Aguirre and Vicente Garza Sr.

He was a former resident of Florida and a Floresville resident since 1979.

Ram was preceded in death by his parents; infant brother Vicente Garza Jr.; niece Olga Uribe; and great-nephew Julian Villa.

He is survived by his sisters, Elena Uribe and husband Frank of Palm Springs, Fla., Elida Soto and husband Rosendo of Floresville, Carolyn Garza of Stockdale, and Carmen Gonzales of Sutherland Springs; brothers Vicente Garza Jr. and wife Celia of Green Acres, Fla., and Roy Garza and wife Mary of Memphis, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service was held on Thursday, Aug. 7, at 1 p.m. in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Floresville.

Inurnment will follow at a later date.
