1939-2014

Dollie Bell (Benner) Bennett, 75, passed peacefully on Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014, after a brave fight with Alzheimer’s. She was born in Caldwell County, Texas, on Feb. 23, 1939, to Burl and Annabell (Rochester) Benner.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Willie Benner, Billy Joe Benner, Buster Benner Sr., Burl Benner Jr., and Oscar Benner; and her sister, Annie Tyndall.

Dollie is survived by her daughters, Martha West and husband Jodie of Floresville and Roseanna Padier of McQueeney; son Charles Reed and wife Laura of New River, Ariz.; sister Susan Weaver of Stockdale; eight grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A graveside funeral service was held on Thursday, Aug. 7, at 10 a.m. in the Sutherland Springs Cemetery in Sutherland Springs.

Memorial donations may be made in Dollie’s honor to the Alzheimer’s Association.
