The 21st annual Beaver Roundup was held in the Falls City Community Hall on Aug. 2, with 400 former students and guests in attendance during the program. Registration and social hour began at 4 p.m., followed with dinner, a program to introduce the honor classes, and dancing at night.

The honor classes of 1954, 1959, 1964, 1969, 1974, 1979, 1984, 1989, 1994, and 1999 were recognized during the program, which featured music and trivia from high school days. Janis Rotter, class of 1967, was the emcee for the program. The Falls City High School dance team, cheerleaders, Color Guard, and mascot provided entertainment, and raised the spirit of the crowd. Tylor Chaplin, superintendent of Falls City ISD, spoke briefly to review some of the accomplishments of FCISD students during the past year, and thanked the Falls City Education Foundation for contributions of more than $200,000 to the district in less than two years of existence.

The Beaver Roundup Committee will soon begin planning for the 22nd annual Beaver Roundup, which will be held in the Falls City Community Hall Aug. 1, 2015. Representatives for next year’s honor classes will be contacted sometime this fall. Next year, the honor classes will be 1955, 1960, 1965, 1970, 1975, 1980, 1985, 1990, 1995, and 2000.
