ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. Teachers at Floresville North Elementary School are getting prepared to welcome students back for the 2014-15 school year. The first day of school is Monday, Aug. 25.

Supervision for students will begin at 6:50 a.m. Free breakfast in the classroom will be served from 7:10-7:30 a.m. Students will be dismissed for the day at 2:45 p.m. We are asking all parents/guardians to make sure their child’s teacher knows how they will be getting home the first day of school.

Upcoming Events:

•Pre-kindergarten and Kindergarten Orientation -- Wednesday, Aug. 20, from 5:30-6:30 p.m.

•Teacher Meet & Greet -- First- through fifth-grade Thursday, Aug. 21, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Students are welcome to take their school supplies

•Grandparents Day Luncheon -- Friday, Sept. 5.
