Wilson County residents Hayden Johnson and Micayla Pearson participated in the Texas Brigades’ 15th Battalion of the South Texas Buckskin Brigade summer leadership camp in June. They were among 165 high school students that took part in this award-winning leadership program.

The Texas Brigades’ mission is to educate and empower youths with leadership skills and knowledge in wildlife, fisheries, and land stewardship to become conservation ambassadors for a sustained natural resource legacy.
