Tye Hunter Hyatt, 18, of Nixon, Texas, died Sunday, Aug. 17, 2014, in San Antonio. He was born Aug. 30, 1995, in Gonzales.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Chandler Hyatt; grandfather Paul Calley; and an uncle, Gabriel Cerda.

Tye is survived by his mother, Lisa Ann Cerda Whitaker; his father, Richard Hyatt; two sisters, Amber Calley and fiance Jesse Vela and Bryeley Hyatt; a brother, Tyler Hall; his maternal grandmother, Caroline Calley; paternal grandparents Donald and Gwen Hyatt; an aunt, Michele Arredondo and husband Elias; three uncles, Mark Cerda and wife Stephanie, Chris Hyatt, and John Lynn and wife Carrie; numerous cousins; and many friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, Aug. 21, from 12-2 p.m. in the First Baptist Church in Nixon.

A funeral service was held on Thursday at 2 p.m. in the church, officiated by the Rev. Michael Linton.

Memorial contributions may be made to Special Olympics or the First Baptist Church of Nixon.
