Members of the Stockdale High School Brahma Band and Cheerleaders perform during the Jan. 14 grand opening ceremony of the Corner Store in Stockdale. With the cold, damp weather, all festivities were moved inside the 6,132-square-foot facility.

Stockdale Corner Store Manager Tracey Carter (with scissors) is joined by city and county officials to celebrate the Jan. 14 grand opening of the store, located at 1003 S.H. 123 S. in Stockdale. Joining in the festivities are (l-r) Stockdale Economic Development Corp. (SEDC) Administrator Johnny Stahl, Wilson County Pct. 4 Justice of the Peace C.J. Rutland, Stockdale Chamber of Commerce President Sherry D.
