There are no injuries resulting from an early-morning crash on U.S. 181 between a 1997 Honda Accord and a Floresville Independent School District bus.

According to Floresville police Det. Jesse Gutierrez, the Accord’s driver, Jimmy Garnand, 70, was eastbound on Sutherland Springs Road and preparing to turn northbound on U.S. 181 just after 8 a.m., when he clipped the rear of the bus, which was waiting in the crossover.

Bus driver Edward Bushmire, 79, and the three children on the bus were not injured, according to Floresville ISD Police Chief Brenda Ullevig, who also attended the scene. The children were examined by a school district nurse and the Wilson County EMS.

The bus was cleared at approximately 8:45 a.m. to deliver the students to their respective campuses. The Honda also was driven from the scene.
