Compared to last week: Hay prices were steady to instances $5 lower. Trade activity was slow to moderate on moderate demand. Spring weather stayed in the area and a few areas received rainfall. Many buyers waiting to see what new crop hay prices will be before buying anymore hay, hoping for lower prices. Livestock are in good condition across the state but supplemental feeding continues giving grass time to come up benefited by these warmer temperatures. Some Coastal Bermuda producers lowered their prices to get hay moving in order to prepare for new crop. Prices for hay and pellets quoted per ton except where noted. . . .
