Compared to last week: Hay prices were mostly steady. Trade activity slow to moderate on light to moderate demand. Spring has officially begun in Texas with warm temperatures and scattered showers across the state. North, east, and south Texas reported plenty of rainfall with some rivers overflowing onto the banks. Livestock are beginning to leave their hay for green grass started to come up in the pasture. The waiting game is on for new crop prices to be established. Some contacts are reporting lower bids for new crop prices but nothing has sold yet and reports of a shortage for some dairies may keep prices steady.
