SAN ANTONIO -- Ropers did not let the cold weather or ice at the end of February stop their efforts to rope for the children who can’t. Chris Garza and Dee Tiller were the high-point winners of the Children’s Hospital Trail Ride (CHTR) team roping Feb. 28 and March 1. The nonprofit organization is in its 27th year of operation and hosted its ninth annual team roping, with Heads or Heels Production. A total of 1,405 teams competed for prize money, horse trailers, Cactus and Lyle ropes, Running P Saddles and rope bags, Legend belt buckles, and more. . . .
