Hornets finish first in district


Hornets finish first in district
Members of the East Central High School Hornet girls track and field team celebrate their District 28-6A championship. The team tallied 177 points, to finish 53 points ahead of second-place Corpus Christi King, and 58.5 points ahead of Southwest. The team won six gold medals, including the 4x100- and 4x400-meter relays.

EAST CENTRAL -- After a great showing at the District 28-6A track and field meet last week, the East Central Hornet girls team can add another championship to the trophy case. The Hornets finished 53 points in front of second-place King High School. The guys also had a strong showing, as they finished second as a team. Individual results are as follows: . . .
