At 9:18 p.m., Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated a thunderstorm producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to one inch already has fallen. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

Some locations that will experience flooding include New Braunfels, San Marcos, Seguin, Universal City, Lockhart, Floresville, Luling, Poth, Stockdale, Kosciusko, Schertz, Cibolo, Selma, Martindale, Marion, La Vernia, Uhland, Mustang Ridge, Santa Clara, and Niederwald.

Additional rainfall amounts of up to three inches are possible in the warned area.

The previously issued flash flood watch, which is set to expire Sunday evening, remains in effect.
