Wilson County officials estimate that the onslaught of rainy weather May 13-17 caused an estimated $2 million in damage to roads, culverts, and bridges, which is why a disaster has been declared for that period. Now it is up to Gov. Greg Abbott to determine whether the county qualifies for state aid. . . .
