Compared to last week: Hay prices were mostly unchanged on little to no movement. Premium to Supreme quality Alfalfa was firm due to difficulty finding for horses and dairy cattle. Rain is the big word this week with much of the state flooded and the wettest May recorded in the history books. Some rained on hay hitting the market while North, East, and South Texas Coastal Bermuda producers have been flooded out of their fields. More rain predicted for the end of this week as the Panhandle finally had a few days to dry out and the rest of the state praying for a chance to dry out which is not something we have been able to say in many years, as we were plagued with a drought. Prices for hay and pellets quoted per ton except where noted. . . .
