H-E-B is issuing a voluntary recall for H-E-B brand hamburger and hotdog buns and Hill Country Fare hotdog buns, due to the possible presence of foreign material that might impact the quality of the product. A terry cloth glove used for handling hot pans could have broken up in the dough, resulting in a potential choking hazard. No incidents have been reported.

Products on the shelf as of June 26 are not included.

The voluntary recall impacts the following H-E-B or Hill Country Fare (HCF) hamburger or hotdog buns, with “best before dates” of July 3-4, with green or blue ties:

•H-E-B Texas plain or seeded hamburger buns

•H-E-B 4.5 plain, seeded, or whole wheat hamburger buns

•H-E-B Wheat Coney buns

•H-E-B and HCF Coney buns, eight count

•HCF Coney buns, 16 count.

Also recalled are H-E-B 4.5 100 percent wheat hamburger buns, best before date from July 2-4, with orange, green, or blue ties.

Customers who purchased the product can return it to the store for a full refund. Customers with any questions or concerns may contact H-E-B Customer Service at 1-855-432-4438.
