Another question. The item approving the Extravaganza budget specified that the money would come from Hotel Motel tax, which is good since in a meeting during the Spring Councalman Ortiz promised that only Hotel Motel tax dollars would be used. What no one has talked about is setup, takedown, and support for the Extravaganza. In the past city employees were used. City employees are paid with property tax dollars. Does the budget for the Extravaganza include dollars for those things city employees did in the past? If city employees or city vehicles are used for anything associated with the Extravaganza then the Council will break it's promise to only use Hotel Motel tax dollars.
