Compared to last week: Alfalfa sold $5 to $10 lower. Ground alfalfa prices were steady to $5 lower. Coastal Bermuda remained unchanged. Trade activity was slow to moderate on light demand. Livestock are in good condition this time of year making demand light. The Panhandle has turned off hot and dry with temperatures brushing the 100 degree mark this week. Many coastal Bermuda producers in the east, north, and south will spend their 4th of July holiday in the hay field trying to catch up after pastures have dried out enough to get hay baled. Some are reporting that small bales of coastal Bermuda may be difficult to find this year. Prices for hay and pellets quoted per ton except where noted. . . .
