(Update 5:19 p.m.)
Sgt. Daria Fowler of the Floresville Police Department confirmed at 5 p.m. that officers from that department had Derek Garcia. He was being transported to the Wilson County Jail, where he will appear before a magistrate judge.

Chief Lowell Hull of the Poth Police Department said Garcia would be charged with making a terroristic threat, after threatening messages targeting Poth were posted on his Facebook page.

(Original post, 4:28 p.m.)
Poth police are searching for Derek Garcia, 24, who posted terroristic threats on Facebook, according to Poth police Chief Lowell Hull this afternoon.

The Hispanic male is approximately 5 feet, 8 inches tall, and drives a red Toyota Yaris, the chief said.

Garcia posted credible threats on his Facebook page and faces terroristic threat charges, at least, according to Hull.

The Poth Independent School District implemented security measures for student release, according to text messages sent to elementary school parents, and has the high school on lockdown, according to Wilson County Pct. 2 justice of the peace personnel.

Anyone with information about Garcia, the person of interest in this incident, should call the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office at 830-393-2535.
