Flood warning for San Antonio River near Elmendorf

The National Weather Service in Austin/San Antonio has issued a Flood Warning for the San Antonio River Near Elmendorf, from late tonight to Monday morning or until the warning is cancelled.

At 9:30 AM Saturday the stage was 17.5 feet. Flood stage is 35.0 feet.

Minor flooding is forecasted as the river could rise above flood stage by after midnight tomorrow and continue to rise to near 38.1 feet by tomorrow morning. The river will fall below flood stage by tomorrow evening.

Impact: At 39.0 feet, moderate lowland flooding damages crops and floods pastureland below San Antonio to below Floresville. Secondary roads and low bridges, irrigation pumps, oil field pump jacks and tank batteries flood. Livestock are cut off in low areas.
