Due to the threat of severe weather Oct. 30, four area high schools have rescheduled their Friday-night varsity football games to Thursday, Oct. 29 at 7:30 p.m.:

•The Nixon-Smiley Mustangs' home game with Natalia.
•The Falls City Beavers' home game versus Kenedy.
•The Poth Pirates' away game in Blanco. Junior varsity and junior high games are canceled this week.
•The Stockdale Brahmas' away game versus the Karnes City Badgers.

Due to the threat of severe weather Oct. 30, two area schools have rescheduled their Friday-night football games.

According to the Poth Independent School District website, the Poth Pirates varsity football game in Blanco will be played Thursday, Oct. 29. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. Additionally, the district has cancelled this week's junior high and junior varsity games.

Stockdale Head Football Coach and Athletic Director Josh West confirmed that the District 14-3A DII game between the Brahmas and the Karnes City Badgers will be played on Thursday, rather than this Friday, as originally scheduled with a 7:30 p.m. kickoff in Karnes City.

Stockdale and Karnes City high schools have moved their varsity football game to this Thursday, Oct. 29.

Stockdale Head Football Coach and Athletic Director Josh West confirmed that the District 14-3A DII game between the Brahmas and Badgers will be played on Thursday, rather than this Friday, as originally scheduled. West said the threat of severe weather prompted the decision.

The game will still be played in Karnes City, and kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
